Background: Diesel locomotives are the backbone of over-land transport for goods around the world. They’re also incredibly fuel efficient. Our client, a global leader in diesel locomotives and fleet management software, sought to showcase the potential of their innovative IoT initiative. Using sensor data, they’d developed an API to track locomotive fuel efficiency and CO2 emissions, but needed a compelling dashboard to present this valuable information.

Process: Collaborating with their India-based technical team, we analyzed the API and designed an attractive, user-friendly US-based dashboard. Our Romanian front-end developers then seamlessly integrated it within the client’s design system.

Status: This successful pilot effectively demonstrated the value of the client’s IoT solution, highlighting fuel efficiency and estimated CO2 emission reductions. The demonstration is now a crucial tool for securing additional funding and expanding this environmentally conscious program.
